Rabies remains almost universally fatal once symptomatic, yet it is entirely preventable with timely, appropriate care — a gap that travel health practitioners are frequently asked to bridge under difficult circumstances. Following two years of foundational and epidemiological updates, this year's World Rabies Day webinar will shift to a case-based format, walking practitioners through real-world exposure scenarios: incomplete or unavailable post-exposure prophylaxis at the destination, uncertain animal exposure histories, pediatric and pre-travel counseling dilemmas, and decisions when immunoglobulin access is limited. The session will combine brief expert framing with interactive, scenario-driven discussion and audience Q&A.

Goals / Objectives
●    Apply current WHO and CDC Yellow Book rabies pre- and post-exposure prophylaxis recommendations to complex, real-world traveler scenarios.
●    Assess rabies exposure risk when destination-country resources, vaccine, or immunoglobulin access are limited.
●    Address common counseling challenges for pediatric travelers, expatriates, and other at-risk populations.
●    Build practitioner confidence in managing incomplete or interrupted prophylaxis regimens.
●    Engage participants in case-based reasoning through live polling and discussion.

Expected Outcome
By the end of the webinar, participants will be able to:
