ISTM's series of Digital Symposia on COVID-19 continue with a focus on the disproportionate health and economic burdens of the pandemic on vulnerable immigrant and migrant workers communities. During this webinar, we will immerse ourselves in the realities of different countries - namely Peru, the United States, and South Africa - to discuss the impact of COVID-19 in these populations.

We will examine the current epidemiology, the burden of the disease, and the socio-economic and health impact of the different restrictive measures on immigrant and migrant workers. Experts in infectious diseases and migrant and refugee health from Peru, the United States, and South Africa will share their experience and discuss the challenges, the measures taken to resolve issues, and the proposed strategies to reduce health inequalities in these communities.
